Page Outlines
Use this to choose the way page outlines are displayed in the index sheet. Page outlines are used to delineate the area covered by each page in the chartbook. On the index chart, you can select each page to highlight it for easier viewing.
There are three choices for viewing pages on the index sheet:
- Show Page Outlines
This option will show the outline of each page in an easy to read way.
This is also the option which will be used when printing.
- Show Page Overlaps
This option shows the page outlines of each page as they will actually be printed.
Because the chart usually cannot be printed on an even number of smaller pages without whitespace there will inevitably be some overlap between pages.
I.e. Some areas of the chart will appear on more than one chart.
This is a good thing because it means that if you are viewing an area that falls between pages you will not have to keep flipping between pages.
However, it can be confusing to look at because the page outlines do not form nice boxes.
- Hide Page Outlines
This option will hide the page outlines, giving a view of the original chart.
