Surface Modeler

The system is intended for designing curves and surfaces of the high order of a continuity with smooth change of curvature.

The system SurfaceModeler is expedient for using for designing objects with curvilinear surfaces to which geometrical characteristics increased requirements on the order of a continuity and smoothness of change of curvature are showed: for designing car surfaces of automobiles, external contours of airplanes and ships, working surfaces of blades of compressors, turbines, pumps; curvilinear architectural forms; curvilinear surfaces of art products; curvilinear surfaces in animated cartoon and advertising.

Frames of working curves / surfaces for the create and editing appeared the convenient tool for the designer. Now each system has the function for modeling b-spline curve / surfaces. B-spline curve / surfaces of high degrees allow to model qualitative curve / surfaces. Can provide a high degree of a continuity of differential characteristics and smoothness of change of curvature. However with increase of a degree b-spline curve / surfaces accuracy of positioning modeled curve / surfaces goes down. And modeling curve / surfaces turns to art.
