V_Test
Tests geometrical characteristics of objects.
Command: v_test
Select curve / surface to test: Select v-curve, AutoCAD spline polyline, AutoCAD spline (NURBS), v-surface, AutoCAD quadratic fit mesh, AutoCAD cubic fit mesh, AutoCAD Bezier fit mesh.
Options of command line
Parameters of the command depend on the selected object: a curve or a surface.
Curve
Enter a displaying option [Display / Radius / Curvature / Scale factor / Exit]: Enter an option.
- Display
Displays a curve with indication of curvature.
- Radius
Option defines mode of displaying radiuses of curvature.
- Cuvature
Option defines mode of displaying curvature.
Scale factor
Multiplies the dimensions of the displaying curvature by the specified scale. A scale factor greater than 1 enlarges the image. At value of scale factor curvature is more than zero curvature is drawn in a direction of the main curvature, at negative values in an opposite direction.
Enter new option Scale factor <current>: Enter a value or press ENTER.
Surface
Enter a displaying option [Display / IndSign / UIndicat / VIndicat / UVIndicat / Exit]: Enter an option.
- Display
Displays a curve with indication of curvature.
Option IndSign
Displays areas with constant sign of curvature. Positive values - color 2, negative 3, zero values 1.
Enter a displaying option [Off / CrvtU / CrvtV / GaussCvt / ArithmCvt ]: Enter an option.
- Off: Cancels the displaying of sign of curvature;
- CrvtU: Displays sign of curvature r(u, v_constant);
- CrvtV: Displays sign of curvature r(u_constant, v);
- GaussCvt: Displays sign of Gaussian curvature;
- ArithmCvt: Displays sign of arithmetic-mean curvature;
Option UIndicat
- Displaying curvature of testing curve r(u, v_constant).
- Enter a displaying option [Off / Radius / Cuvature / Scale / V_Constant / Exit]: Enter an option.
- Radius: Defines mode of displaying radiuses of curvature.
- Cuvature: Defines mode of displaying curvature.
- Scale (Scale factor): Multiplies the dimensions of the displaying curvature by the specified scale. A scale factor greater than 1 enlarges the image. At value of scale factor curvature is more than zero curvature is drawn in a direction of the main curvature, at negative values in an opposite direction.
Enter new option Scale factor <current>: Enter a value or press ENTER.
V_Constant: Specifies value of internal parameter v of a surface r(u,v) for testing curvature of a curve r(u, v_constant).
Enter new option V_Constant <current>: Enter a value or press ENTER.
Option VIndicat
Displaying curvature of testing curve r(u_constant, v).
- Enter a displaying option [Off / Radius / Cuvature / Scale / U_Constant / Exit]: Enter an option.
- Radius: Option defines mode of displaying radiuses of curvature.
- Cuvature: Option defines mode of displaying curvature.
V_Constant: Specifies value of internal parameter v of a surface r(u,v) for testing curvature of a curve r(u_constant, v).
Enter new option V_Constant <current>: Enter a value or press ENTER.
Option UVIndicat
Displays map of areas of distribution of values of curvature on a surface (curvature of lines on a surface, Gaussian curvature, arithmetic-mean curvature). The area of the certain color corresponds to the certain range of change of curvature. In this case 7 colors define 7 levels of gradation of change of value of the tested parameter.
Enter a displaying option [Off / CrvtU / CrvtV / GaussCvt / ArithmCvt ]: Enter an option.
- Off: Cancels the displaying curvature;
- CrvtU: Displays curvature of r(u, v_constant);
- CrvtV: Displays curvature of r(u_constant, v);
- GaussCvt: Displays Gaussian curvature;
- ArithmCvt: Displays an arithmetic-mean curvature;
The connected system variables
- SplineSegs: Sets the number of lines approximating segment of spline for displaying.
- SplFrame: Controls the display of splines and spline-fit polylines.
- 0 Does not display the control frame for splines and spline-fit polylines. Displays the fit surface of a polygon mesh, not the defining frame-mesh.
- 1 Displays the control frme for splines and spline-fit polylines.
