Recording Tips

To record any sound on your PC you need to select the stereo mix. On some systems the stereo mix will be listed in Clever Recorder's DEVICE list and on others it will be listed in Clever Recorder's INPUT list.

Stereo Mix listed in the DEVICE list

To record any sound on your PC select the stereo mix as the recording DEVICE, and the volume control as the INPUT. When the stereo mix is selected as the recording device, all sounds on your PC will be recorded.

Also the master volume control of your system will alter the record volume of your recordings. Try some test recordings to get the record volume right.

Stereo Mix listed in the INPUT list

To record any sound on your PC select the default sound card as the recording DEVICE, and the Stereo Mix as the INPUT. When the stereo mix is selected as the input device, all sounds on your PC will be recorded.

You might want to disable some operating system notification sounds by using the control panel.
