The File-Convert to Audio command opens the Audio Batch Record dialog. Use this dialog to record MIDI files to MP3, WAVE or OGG format files.
1. Selected Files
This is a list of .mid files which were chosen by you in the main window. You can add or delete some files in the list or delete all files using Add, Delete and Delete All buttons.
2. Recording Settings
Here you can see the Recording Quality and the Recording source selected for recording at the moment.
Recording Quality 44100Hz is CD quality, 22500Hz is FM quality, 11025Hz is Phone quality.
Recording Source This screen lists all recording devices which your sound card supports--Microphone, Line In, Stereo Mixer, and so on. The list of devices is taken from the sound card driver on your computer so the device names you see may vary. Select the device you wish to record from.
If you playback MIDI through your enternal sound card you should select the "Stereo Mixer" or equivalent in the Recording Source list. Different sound cards have the different names for recording devices. For example: "Stereo Mixer" might appear as "What U hear", "Output", "Mixer".
3. Output File Format
This screen lists all Audio formats you can MIDI convert to: WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA. Select the type of format you wish to record to. You can adjust audio format settings in the Audio Format Settings dialog (for this click the Setup button).
4. Title Information
This option allows you to add the additional information for describing your recorded MP3 or OGG file (Wav format doesn't support this option). There is available to add the information about artist, album, publishing year and genre.
5. Output Directory
This field lets you specify the output folder. The Brouse button at the right lets you select the folder.
The same as initial directory option lets you to save the converted files at the same place where the original files are.
Overwrite existing files indicates if already existing files will be overwritten.
6. Partial Record
Use this if you want to make short samples of the files. You can define how long each sample shall be and from what position in the file it shall start.
