MIDI Option : Change and control the MIDI effect for each MIDI file. Changes of the MIDI effect made in this MIDI Option will be applied to next Wave files you add automatically.
- MIDI Instrument
Choose an instrument type for the MIDI file.
- MIDI Channel
Choose MIDI channel from 1 to 16.
- Volume Change
Make your choice of either Volume Expression or Channel Volume.
MIDI Control 0x0B - Volume Expression
MIDI Control 0x07 - Channel Volume
- Brightness Effect
Change the timbre of MIDI sound (e.g. vowel change in 'Ah ~ Uh')
- MIDI Brightness(0x74) controls the (VCF) filter's cutoff frequency, for an overall brightness control.
- If a MultiTimbral device, each part usually has its own patch with its respective VCF cutoff frequency that can be adjusted with Brightness Gain.
- Some sound module or instrument type may result in unwanted sound effect. In this case, it's better not to use Brightness effect.
- Brightness effect with Yamaha XG sounds good.
- Control brightness gain to sound as 'real' as you want. 8 is recommended for human voice compass, lower(eg. 4) for high compass and higher(eg. 12) for low compass
- Onset Detection
Choose how MuseBook Wav2Midi detects onset of a sound in process of converting from Wave to MIDI. This decides whether force to make new note or keep previous note to make continuous sound.
- New onset only at time of strong volume attack : Use this option when you want to keep continuous sound effect instead of each note.
(MuseBook Wave2Midi sets Pitch Bend range one octave higher and lower. Pitch out of range results new note.)
- Plus at time of volume and note transition together : Use this option when you convert Wave file which new note usually change volume level, e.g. human song or guitar.
- Plus at time of every note transition : Note transition of recorder or flute does not change volume level. Use this option when you convert this kind of Wave file.
- Show this dialog automatically when select wave files
- Please remain the tick box unchecked to apply the same MIDI effect to every file you add.
- Tick to see MIDI Option everytime when you add new Wave file to MuseBook Wav2Midi. This makes it possible to have different MIDI effects of the same Wave file.
