Proxy Settings

In the Search Settings tab Click Advanced button.

Note:

  • You only need to make use of this feature if your LAN or ISP uses a Proxy. If in doubt, rather leave the option unattended.
  • If you have not setup a Proxy in your browser, it is unlikely you will need to do so here.
  • If your Proxy Server requires Authorization, you need to enter a Username and Password.

Setting Proxy IP and Port

  • Ask your Network Administrator or ISP for the IP Address and Port Number of the HTTP Proxy you should be using.
  • For Normal Proxy the Port number will usually be 80 or 8080; while for SOCKS, it’s usually 1080.

Default:

By default this application will automatically get your System IP and Port as 80.

  • Click the Search Settings tab.
  • Go to the Proxy Settings area.
  • Enter your User name in the User Name text box and Password in the Password text box.

Note:
