Accounts

Sets up POP3 accounts.

The dialog allows you to create, modify and delete mail accounts.

The mail flow

In OLWorkgroupFolders, there is no direct relationship between a POP3 account (the account on your internet provider) and a user. A single user may have more than one POP3 account, on the other hand a single POP3 account may be used by more than one user.

A user has more than one account

If a user has more than one account, set up the postmaster for each POP3 account to the same user or configure more than one account in OLWorkgroupFolders and your mail client.

Users share a mail account

If you have a registred domain, your web provider probably has a postmaster account, this acccount will receive all mails which are not configured otherwise. In OLWorkgroupFolders, you can create a POP3 account for the postmaster account. Each mail which arrives at this account, may have one or more recipient stored in the mail headers. OLWorkgroupFolders reads the mail headers and compares the addresses stored there with all internal OLWorkgroupFolders users. If the email address matches, the mail is transported into the given mail box.
