Retriving POP3 emails
In order to receive emails via a POP3 account from your internet service provider (ISP), you need to set up at least one POP3 account. The POP3 account will retrive emails on a regular basis and store incoming mail into one or more proxy mail boxes.
The proxy account is linked to the OLW user account using
- Its postmaster setting
- The email address
If a mail arrives via POP3, the proxy server performs the following checks:
- If one of the CC addresses in that email is an OLW user, a copy of this mail is submitted to its proxy mail box
- If the recipient is an OLW user, the mail gets submitted to its proxy mail box
- If no recipient is found, the mail is submitted to its postmaster proxy mail box
- Setting up the POP3 account
- As mentioned above, there is no one-to-one relation between an OLW user and a POP3 account, the connection is done via email addresses and a postmaster mailbox.
The POP3 account, takes the settings for retriving emails:

The proxy account connect the POP3 account with a user, this dialog is mainly for defining mail forwards, a recipient will receive all emails with its name even if there is no special setup.
