Advanced Options
OLFolders normally stores its data in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Quester\OLWorkgroupFolders.
In some cases you might want to change the main registry path, for example if you want to run more than one server at the same machine (for example in a terminal server environment). The path for the main registry entry is stored in the file config.ini which can be found in the program directory.
You may open that file and change it to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Quester\OLFoldersServer
In this way, for each user in Windows, a different port can be specified, users now can connect to a different terminal by entering localhost:portnumber, where portnumer is any number the user set up in his/her terminal session.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Quester\OLWorkgroupFolders\BackupMails
The mail server normally deletes incomming or outgoing mails if they are completly processed. In order to create a back up, set BackupMails to 1. In this case all mails which have been processed are moved to the directory LitterBin inside the spool directory.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Quester\OLWorkgroupFolders\UseTimer
Normally, the client uses a thread for notification updates. Some clients seem to have difficulties with notification updates, in this case, set BackupMails to 1, instead of the thread the windows timer is used to look all two seconds for updates. You must re-start Outlook after setting the setting.
Initially, the key is not present.
