Email Forwarding
The mail forward dialog allows forwarding any incoming mail, external or internal. The forwarded mail may be forwarded as a copy, remaining the original mail in its mail box or be moved to another account.
Other than the forward settings at the user account level, mail forwarding allows
- Forward mails for users not configured in OLWorkgroupFolders
- Forward a range of mails with a single configuration
- Mail forwarding may be used if you
Run more than one OLWorkgroupFolders server, but only one of them is connected to the internet. In this case you will configure one server to forward mails to the other server. Want to use OLWorkgroupFolders as a POP3-beamer for an MS Exchange-Server. Want to have a copy of all emails in one mail account.

The mail that is to be forwarded. This field does not need a full qualified email address, it may also be a substring. For example if you enter here ".com" all email addresses receiving at any account containing ".com" will be forwarded. If you have a domain and a sub-domain, you may forward all mails arriving at your sub-domain, for example, if your domain where shop.net, you may have a few email addresses at sales.shop.net., such as tom@sales.shop.net. If in a few month, your sales department grows too big to fit into your office you may forward all mails comming to sales by specifiying "sales.shop.net" as the original email address. If the original email address contains a @, the email is considered as a fully qualified email address, otherwise it is considered as a sub string.

The email address where a mail is to be forwarded. This may be a fully qualified email address or a domain name. If the original email address contains a @, the mail is forwarded to the fully qualified email address in this field, otherwise the name of the of the incomming mail is combined with the domain name given in this field. The forward address, may contain a server name and a port number, appended with a colon: name@domain.com:servername:port
