Mail Proxy

The Mail Proxy is a service based on the internet standard protocols POP3 and SMTP, it can be used with any mail client, such as Outlook, Netscape, Opera running under different operating systems, such as Windows, Unix, Palm OS or others.

Since the mail proxy is using standard protocols, there is no client component to install. To set up your mail client for the OLW mail proxy, use the standard procedure for adding an email account.

Instead of your ISP server, enter the computer name or IP address where OLW is installed
Use any alias/password set up in OLWorkgroupFolders
As soon as any email address (even a phantasy one) is entered in any OLWorkgroupFolders user account, this account can be used for (internal) email transport.
