Contacts

This form allows you to create a full list of contacts. You should add to this list not only persons that you want to invite to the wedding but all your relatives and friends. You will create list of invitations in Guests form and program will automatically create for you list of persons for which you should send wedding announcements (see Wedding Announcements form description). This automatically created list includes all uninvited persons from contact list.

Let's look at the following picture:

Contacts

You can see that contact list is divided into parties. Party is a collection of one or more persons living at the same address. To add a new contact to contact list you should first create a new party or select an existing one and then add contact to this party.

Each party is identified by head person. Head person is always added to the party first and other contacts are added after it.

Other attributes of party are:

  • Out of town
  • Address

Now let's look at the contact editing dialog:

Contact

As you can see contact contains next attributes:

  • Title
  • First name
  • Middle name
  • Last name
  • Nickname
  • Gender
  • Status in party
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail
  • Menu type

Values for attribute Title can be added, modified and deleted from Titles form.

When you add first contact to the party the only possible value for Status in party attribute is Head person. And when you add second and following contacts you can choose any of predefined values for this attribute but for Head person. That's why you should always add head person before other persons to the contact list.

If you want to invite some person with a companion you don't know, you can add this companion to the contact list by clicking on New Unknown button. Later you will be able to edit its attributes.

Reports

As you can see in this picture there are two types of reports you can create for your contact list:

Report

Parties and contacts. The report of this type will contain the list of contacts grouped by parties. Only list of parties. The report of this type will contain only the list of parties without contacts they include.

You can filter parties that should be included into report by Out of town attribute. Here is the list of possible values for this filter:

  • Include all parties
  • Include only out of town parties
  • Exclude out of town parties
