Guests
This form allows you to create a list of invitations. You can see this form in the following picture:

First of all from drop-down list you should choose event for which you want to create invitation. By default Wedding is selected but you can select other event such as bridal shower or rehearsal dinner, but these events should be previously added to the event list (see description of Events form for details). Invitation is not necessary printed invitation sent by mail, but can also be verbal request to visit some event.
Note that list of invitations can contain different columns depending on selected event. When you select Wedding event it contains Invited to the Ceremony and Invited to the Reception columns while for other events it contains Invited column instead of these two columns.
Invitation list is divided into three sublists. In the picture you can see page control with three pages:
- Invitations. Contains invitations that have not been sent yet or those that have been sent but answer to which has not been received.
- Accepted Invitations. Contains invitations with persons that have accepted invitation. If Wedding event is selected person is considered to accept invitation when he/she accepts either invitation to the ceremony or invitation to the reception.
- Rejected Invitations. Contains invitations with persons that have rejected invitation. If Wedding event is selected person is considered to reject invitation when it rejects both invitation to the ceremony and invitation to the reception.
Each of these pages contains two tables. Upper table represents corresponding sublist of invitation list. Lower table contains persons included into selected invitation.
In the Invitations page you can create new invitation. To create new invitation click on New button above Invitations table. The following dialog will appear:
In the upper table select party. Further, double-click in the lower table on each person you want to invite to select it. Note that invitation can't contain persons belonging to different parties. When the active record in the upper table changes all choices made in the lower table are cleared.
After all required persons are selected you should select to which guest list current invitation belongs. Guest list is logically divided into two parts: primary list and secondary list. In the program this lists are merged into one list, but you can divide them into separate lists while creating report. You can create separate report for primary list invitations and separate report for secondary list invitations. Primary list includes invitations that should be sent first of all. After receiving answers to these invitations you will see how many persons from secondary list you can invite additionally.
The last thing you should do before creating invitation is to specify in the Guests of drop-down list whose relatives or friends selected persons are: bride's, groom's or bride's and groom's together. If selected persons are friends of bride's parents you should also choose Bride value in the Guest of drop-down list. The same should be applied to the friends of groom's parents and friens of both pairs of parents. Note that for invitations to the events other than Wedding this option is unavailable.
When you create new invitation it is marked as unsent (i.e. Invited to the ceremony and Invited to the reception attributes for Wedding event or Invited attribute for other events are set to No). After sending invitation you should select it in the list, click on Edit button and in the dialog that will appear check appropriate checkbox(es) and enter correct date into Invitation send date field. This dialog also allows you to change values of Guest of and Guest list attributes.
If you want to include into invitation a person who you haven't included yet for some reasons, you should click on Add button that is located above Persons table of the Invitations page and then choose persons you want to add. To remove a person from the invitation select this person in the Persons table and then click on Remove button.
After receiving answer to some invitation you should select this invitation in the invitation list and click on Answer button. Following dialog will appear:

In this dialog you have to specify which persons have accepted invitation and which have rejected it. By default it is implied that all persons have accepted invitation. To specify that a person has rejected invitation select corresponding record and click on Reject Invitation button. To specify that some person has accepted invitation select corresponding record and click on Accept Invitation button.
On the right of Accept Invitation and Reject Invitation buttons you can see a little triangle. If you click on triangle on the right of Accept Invitation button popup menu with following items will appear:
- Accept Invitation
- Accept Invitation to the Ceremony
- Accept Invitation to the Reception
- Accept Invitation for All Persons
- Accept Invitation to the Ceremony for All Persons
- Accept Invitation to the Reception for All Persons
If current event is not Wedding only Accept Invitation and Accept Invitation for All Persons items will be available.
- Accept Invitation specifies that selected person has accepted invitation to the ceremony and reception if current event is Wedding or to the event in other cases. It does the same as Reject Invitation button.
- Accept Invitation to the Ceremony specifies that selected person has accepted only invitation to the ceremony.
- Accept Invitation to the Reception specifies that selected person has accepted only invitation to the reception.
- Next tree items are almost identical to previous items. The only difference is that they concern not only selected person but all persons in the invitation.
- Reject Invitation specifies that selected person has rejected invitation to the event. It does the same as Reject Invitation button.
- Reject Invitation for All Persons specifies that all persons in the invitation have rejected it.
The last thing to do in this dialog is to press OK button. After that invitation will be moved from Invitations page to other pages. If all persons have accepted invitation it will be moved to Accepted Invitations page. If all persons have rejected invitation it will be moved to Rejected Invitations page. And if only part of invited persons have accepted invitation, this invitation will appear in both Accepted Invitations and Rejected Invitations pages. In this case invitation in the Accepted Invitations page will contain only persons that have accepted it and invitation in the Reject Invitations page will contain the others. If a person have accepted only invitation to the ceremony but not to the reception or only invitation to the reception but not to the ceremony, corresponding record will be moved to the Accepted Invitations page anyway.
Accepted Invitations page is depicted below:

This page looks similar to the Invitations page, but here you can't perform any operation with invitations. You can edit only records for separate persons here. When you click on Edit button the following dialog will appear:
- For events different from Wedding you will see another dialog. There is no need to describe both of these dialogs. That's why we will describe only dialog depicted above.

- If you uncheck both check boxes in this dialog it will be moved to the Rejected Invitations page. In other cases you can assign a role to the current person. If Role drop-down list doesn't contain role you want to assign you can add required role in the Roles form.
- Rejected Invitations page is almost identical to the page described above. You should work with it in the same manner.
Reports

There are three types of reports you can create for invitation list:
- Unsent or unanswered invitations. The report of this type will contain records from Invitations page.
- Accepted invitations. The report of this type will contain records from Accepted Invitations page.
- Rejected invitations. The report of this type will contain records from Rejected Invitations page.
