Safe Image Protection

ReaGallery Professional Edition offers you Safe Image™ protection feature. You can add some basic image-theft protection to your sites and galleries. To enable this feature double-click on a site or gallery to open Properties dialog. In that dialog check Safe Image™ checkbox. Now you can tweak protection options using "Settings" button.

There are five protection options.

  • Prevent screen capture Prevents your images from being stolen using the standard Windows screenshot function ("Print Screen" key).
  • Disable IE image toolbar Disables Internet Explorer image toolbar so that the "Save image" function is not accessible.
  • Prevent drag-and-drop Prevents drag-and-drop action on your images so that the images cannot be saved by dragging them into Windows Explorer (works for Macintosh computers too).
  • Disable right-click menu Disables right-click pop-up menu so that the "Save image" function is not accessible. You can disable the menu either for the image or for the entire page.
  • Split images Splits each image file into a number of pieces. Each image piece is represented by a separate file so it is very hard to steal it. Use this option with caution because splitting an image into large number of pieces can significantly increase web-page load time.
