Club Profile and Configuration
The first screen you will see when you run Club Manager for the first time will be the Club Information screen. This form must be completed before Club Manager can continue. This information is used to personalize your copy of Club Manager, assign your club prefix, set the tax rate if you charge tax and for headings on reports, lists, profiles, etc.
Assigning Your Club Prefix
You must assign a prefix that will be affixed to member numbers when completing the club profile and configuration. Club Manager will add numbers after this prefix to each new member. These numbers will be in numerical order and can't be changed or altered in any way. The prefix used normally is the initials or your club. For example if your club is named the Riverside Golf Club you could use "RGC" as the club prefix. This prefix would then be assigned to each new member as in RGC-1, RGC-2, RGC-3, etc. as each new member is added to the database. If you have special members that you wish to be assigned early numbers then add them before any other members. Once a member number is assigned it can't ever be changed.
NOTE: The prefix you assign will be permanent and can't be changed or altered so it's best to give some thought to the prefix you decide on before making the final decision.
To make changes to your club profile and configuration click on Update at the main screen menu then select Update Club Profile and Configuration. The form will appear with the current configuration information. Make corrections as needed and click the green Save button.
If you do not charge tax then do not set any tax rate. If you do set a tax rate then tax will automatically be added to statement amounts when creating new statements.
