Layer Operations
Operations on current layer can be find under submenu 'Layer' or layer tab-window.
On Layer tab-window:

The buttons in the left of layer tab window:
- New Layer: Create a null layer on top of current layer
- Delete Layer: Delete current layer
- Merge Down: Merge current layer with the layer below it.
- Open as Layer: Open a image and set it as a new layer on top of current.
The list on right is the layers, sort by their relationship of overlay. The last one (in bottom) is base layer, the item in white means the current layer. On each layer item, you can see a small thumbnail, and some properties of the layer, include:
- Layer Name: Click to edit
- Visibility: Show or hide the layer.Click to switch.
- Overlay mode: Click to choose one
- Normal:Normal blend
- Light:Light only
- Dark:Dark only
- Mul:Show result of multiplying.
- Screen:Show result of addition.
- Dif:Show difference between layers.
- Opacity:Set from 0% to 100%
- Up/Down arrows:Swap the layers in their overlay relationship.
Their are some other operations you can find in menu 'Layer':
- Merge All: Flat document to one layer.
- Export Layer: Save currect layer to a PNG file with its mask. This function is very important when you want export the matting result to file so other software can use it.
