Focus on

The objects out of focus are always blurred and hard to distinguish what it is. This function can help you make it more clear for recognizing purpose. But, this function will also bring more noise. It is NOT designed to improve the quality of image.

Here a sample shows what it can do:

Focus on

The upper part is original image, we can not see the text on keyboard. After processing, we can see the text clear but there are much more noise.

Enter the function:

Select 'Sharpen - Focus on' from popup menu of 'Enhancement' button.

The interface and the description:

This function will take two steps.

Step 1: Select a right 'radius' .

You need click a blurred area first. It's better that this area contain a line, a light spot or something you know how it looks like(e.g. Text). Then you need to select the best one from the list on right. The 'best one' means the shape is close to what it should be.

Step 2: Processing and adjust

Amount: A large number can make more sharpen edge but brings more noise. Radius: If the radius was not properly set in step 1, you can change it manually. Some time the blurred range is larger than the radius this function can deal with, in this case, you should resize the image to a smaller one before call this function.
