HSB Curve

HSB curve is an advanced tool to adjust the color in hue, saturation and brightness.

Enter the function:

Click 'HSB Curve' from the popup menu of button 'Color'.

The interface and the description:

HSB Curve

The left upper rectangle shows a curve of current channel/mode. There are 12 control point on it( the first one and the last one is the same one), the horizon is the axis of the hue channel. The hue value is a circle from red to green to blue and back to red. With this curve, you can adjust the each channel by different hue value.

The meaning of a positive or negative value on curve are descriped as below:

  • Hue mode: The output hue value will plus its value on curve. The curve value is the offset value from -127 to 128.
  • Saturation mode: The positive value means enhance the saturation, the negative one decrease the saturation.
  • Brightness mode: The positive value means more bright, the negative one means more dark.
  • The six control points can be moved up or down to control the shape of curve, the corresponding colors are red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and magenta. This tool is more flexible than 'Adjust Color' function.

'Reset': Reset the curve.

'Save as color theme': Save/Append the current adjustment to a color theme.

: Pick a color from original image and give the position of its hue value.
