Painting Mode

In Painting Mode, there are some tools for you to paint the photo by hand.

Enter the function:

Click the button 'Painting Mode' Painting Mode on thetoolbar.

The interface and the description:

Painting Mode

Zoom In/Out: Select this tool, and click the photo to zoom in. Press 'Ctrl' and click for zoom out. The accelerate key is 'Alt +/- '.

Move:When the window can not show all of the photo, use this tool to move the current view by drag the photo. At any time, press 'Shift' key and drag the photo can move it too.

Painting Tools: These tools are designed in 'Plugins'. The files of them are in the folder 'plugins' under the install folder.Currently, there are only 3 tools in version 2.7, but we will designed more tools in future.

Free Paint:Paint the photo with current foreground color and brush.

Clone:Clone the texture from one place to another. When you first click the photo, the sample will be selected, then you move cursor to another place and drag the brush, you will see the pixels are copied from the source place to the destination. Click 'Right button' of mouse to select a new sample source.

Color brush/Decolor:This tools is designed for turning a grayscale old photo into a color one. It will use the current forground color to fill the paint area, but keep the brightness of destination unchanged.

Set brush: The brush has 3 parameters, 'Size' is the diameter of the brush. 'Blur' defines the distance from transparence to solid, its value is from 0% to 100%, correspond to 'hard' and 'soft'. 'Pressure' defines how much the painting result will be blended into the source photo.

Quick color picker: After select 'Hue' value from the lower bar, you can select 'Saturation and Brightness' from the upper box. You can also click the forground color box to select the color by default window's color picker.

Foreground/Background:You can click the forground color box to select the color by default window's color picker.

Reset:Reset to back and white.

Swap:Swap the foreground color with background.

Pick color from photo:Select this tool and click the photo, you can pick the color from the photo to foreground color.
