Search Photos
The 'Search Photos' function can help you find the photos you want from a mass of photos and folders. Select menu item 'File-Search Photo' to enter this function.
The Interface:
The filters for search can be classfied into 4 groups:general information, shape, histogram and statistics, advanced EXIF. Switch between the groups by click the tree item on the left-top of dialog.
The relationship between filters is 'AND', that means only photos meet all the conditions can be searched out. Click 'Start search' to start, then the button 'Start Search' will be changed to 'Stop search' to cancel the search.
The results will shows in the image list on right side. After search stoped, double click one of the result or select it and click 'Go to', the main window will popup to show where is this photo.
In the following description, character '*' means filters which will be most effective to shrink the scope of search.Pay attention when you set these filters.If you are not sure about how to set them, leave the default value.
General Information
- Search scope: You can select current folder, current album or all album.
- Stop after reach: The max number of search results. from 1-255.
- *Keywords in filename:Keywords in filname, the relationship is 'AND', use space to seperate each keywords.
- 'Tag keyword': Keywords of tags, the relationship is 'AND', use space to seperate each keywords.
- File format: Select the file format.
- Get time from: EXIF or file create,If the file contains EXIF data, use time of photo taken, otherwise, use file create time. or you can select file create time or last modify time.
- *From(At) ... To: Set the time here, use format 'mm/dd/yyyy'.
- File Size: You can select large than, small than or between.
- From ... To: Refer to time range setting, in K bytes.
- Visited: If you have seen it in Turbo Photo Album, a flag will indicate it.
Shape
- Width and height range: Refer to settings of file size.
- *Aspect: The ratio of width:height, select the best one.
Histograms and statistics
*Image tone: Low tone means most of the photo are covered with dark color. High tone means white or bright color.High contrast means there are few mid-tone pixels( not bright and not dark ).Mono means grayscale or only one main color.Coloful means the saturation is higher.
*Temperature: Cold means colors like blue, cyan, Warm means colors like red and yellow. Contrast of both means there are both cold and warm colors and the artist want to show the feelings of contrast.
*Have green plants: If the green plants is over 20%, select yes. Select no, if have not any green object.
*Have blue sky: If the blue sky is over 20%, select yes, Select no is have not any blue object.
Have skin: If the skin covers over 30%, select yes.
Advance EXIF information
If photo has no EXIF data: Not all the photos have EXIF data, only photos from digital camera and have not loss it have the data. If you are sure that the photo you want have the EXIF data, select 'Skip it' to ignore the photos have not EXIF.
- Aperture range: If you are not sure, select a range or 'may be...'.
- Shutter speed: Like apertuer setting. in seconds.
- Flush: The flush status, on or off.
- ISO number: The sensitive number , some camera will not record this field, in this case, it is count as 100.
- Focus distance: The distance from the camera to the object.
- *Exposure at(may be): The estimate of the place. If you added some filter which can change the EV, this filed maybe not accurate.
- Camera keywords: The keywords in camera model, e.g 'Finepix' or 'Powershot'
Tips:
Can not find the photo?
If it reach the max number of search, try to use a larger number or give it more constraint.
If it does't reach the max number, check your filters carefully, especially the filter with '*', try to set the unsure item to 'Any'. |
