Schedules

Me Speaking has 11 speaking schedule alarms and 1 speaking power down alarm. The speaking schedule alarms can be set to remind you of an event on any date and time in the future. The speaking power down alarm can remind you of an event when it detects the computer shutting down.

An alarm will be triggered when its date and time settings are the same as, or older than the date and time of your PC's clock. When an alarm occurs Me Speaking will disable all buttons except the schedule button. If Me Speaking is minimized it will maximize itself. The alarm message will be spoken. If more than one alarm occurs at the same time, their messages will be spoken in turn.

SETTING A SCHEDULE ALARM

To set a schedule alarm, four things need to be done.

• Select a date
• Select a time
• Create a reminder message
• Save your setting

Setting the year

To set the year, click on YEAR then use the 'INCREMENT' and 'DECREMENT' buttons.

Setting the month

To set the month, click on MONTH then select a month from the list by clicking on it. You can also use the 'NEXT MONTH' and 'LAST MONTH' buttons by clicking on them.

Setting the date

To set the date, select a date from the calendar by clicking on it.

Setting the time

To set the time use the hour and minute slider controls to scroll up or down the lists. You can also use the 'INCREMENT' and 'DECREMENT' buttons. Then select the hour and minute by by clicking on them.

Creating a message

To create a reminder message click on the text area, then use the keyboard to type your message.

Hear how your message sounds

Click PLAY to hear your message. To stop the message playing before its finished click STOP.

Save your alarm settings

Once you have selected a date, time and reminder message, you will need to save your settings. Click SAVE and then click any empty schedule alarm button. If you click an alarm button that's already been programmed, you current settings will overwrite the previous settings.

The schedule alarm buttons will be automatically organized according to their dates, the Next time the schedule button is clicked.

A programmed schedule alarm button will display the date and time of the alarm stored in It. To view the message stored in any schedule alarm button or the power down alarm button, simply click the button.

Erasing an alarm

To erase an alarm, click ERASE then erase the alarm by clicking its schedule alarm button.

Stopping a triggered alarm

To stop a alarm, click SCHEDULE. The schedule alarm or alarms that have been triggered will be highlighted. The text area will be displaying the alarm messages. Click ERASE then click the 'SCHEDULE ALARM BUTTON' you want to stop. The alarm will be stopped and erased.

Power down alarm

The power down alarm will speak and display a message when it detects the computer shutting down.

Setting the power down alarm

To set the power down alarm, use the keyboard to write your reminder message in the text area . To save your reminder message, click SAVE, then click REMIND ME.

Canceling the power down alarm

To cancel the power down alarm, click ERASE then click REMIND ME.

The power down alarm will be automatically erased when Me Speaking shuts down.
