Startup

If Auto Startup is enabled, Me Speaking starts automatically when the computer starts up. you can also start Me Speaking by clicking Start then programs, then the Me Speaking folder, then Me Speaking.

Me Speaking can be made to say something when it starts up. To enable this feature, click FILE, then move the mouse over STARTUP, then click SAY THIS.

After clicking 'Say This', the following screen will be shown.

Type something in the text area. see the example below.

Click SPEAK to hear how the text will be spoken. If you want to stop the speaking before all the text has been read click STOP, If you want Me Speaking to say what you have written at startup, click SAVE. When you click 'save' . the text in the text area will be saved and the 'say this' screen will be closed. To close the 'say this' screen without saving any changes, click CLOSE .

Minimizing Me Speaking

When me speaking starts up it can automatically minimize itself. To enable this feature click FILE then move the mouse over STARTUP then move the mouse over MAXIMIZED, then click MINIMIZED.

To disable this feature click FILE , then move the mouse over STARTUP, then move the mouse over
MINIMIZED, then click MAXIMIZED.

Auto Startup

When the computer starts up, Me Speaking can automatically start up.

To disable this feature click FILE , then move the mouse over STARTUP, then move the mouse over YES AUTO STARTUP, then click NO.

To enable this feature click FILE then move the mouse over STARTUP then move the mouse over NO AUTO STARTUP, then click YES.

NOTE

Me Speaking needs to be running to respond to scheduled alarms, hourly time anouncement and the speaking power down alarm.
