Create Audio Files

TextAloud can generate audio files from articles you've loaded. Available output formats include WAV, MP3 and WMA. To generate an audio file, follow these steps:

  • Load one or more articles into TextAloud.
  • From the menu, select Options -> Voices and File Options
  • Select the File Options panel
  • Choose an audio file format
  • Choose a Bit / Sample Rate setting
  • Choose an output file directory
  • Press the OK button
  • From the main window, press either the To File button in the toolbar, or the Speak To File button located in the Speed / Pitch panel under the toolbar.

If using Multi-Article mode, use the Article Options panel to determine if articles are written to one audio file or multiple audio files.
