Proofread Documents

TextAloud can be used for proofreading documents. When proofreading, the TextAloud main window automatically minimizes, and a separate window specially designed for proofreading is loaded with text selected from a document. Proofreading is initiated by using a HotKey that you define.

Configuring a HotKey for Proofreading

• From the menu, select Options -> HotKey Setup
• Define the Proofread HotKey
  

Proofreading a Document

• Using your mouse, highlight text in a document you wish to proofread.
• Press the Proofread HotKey, defined above.
• The Proofread window will close automatically when proofreading is finished.
  

While the Proofread window is displayed, you can change the Voice and Speed using controls at the bottom of the window. Font, foreground color and background color can be selected by pressing the Font / Colors Button.

Clicking anywhere in the text area of the window will stop speaking and close the window, allowing you to make corrections to your document.
